QUETTA, Sept 14: The Tanzeem Asatizah Pakistan has urged the government to formulate a uniform education policy for both government and private institutions and to promote a syllabus that safeguards the ideological base of the country. Speaking at a press conference at the press club, Prof Ata Mohammad Jafari, president of the Tanzeem Asatizah Pakistan, said that so far 10 policies had been formulated by various governments but not one was implemented leading to the failure of a proper educational system.

He called upon the government to take serious steps to minimize social status discrimination between private and government schools as the gap would not only develop two different classes in the society but also promote ideological complications that would not be in the interest of the people.

Mr Jafari was critical of the NGO’s funded by foreign countries that was negating the Islamic values and violating the traditions and cultures to impose a secular outlook without realizing the drawback of the policies that were imported from abroad.

The Tanzeem Asatizah Pakistan suggested 12 points, including that education policy and planning should be formulated with broad consultation to accommodate proposals to improve the quality of education, the National Council should be constituted so as to play a think tank role, appointments on contract basis should be abolished, etc.
