THE population of Dandot village and its surrounding areas in Chakwal district is more than 23,000 people. There is not a single public health centre to this population. The nearest public hospital is in Choa Saiden Shah which is more than 12 kilometres away.
Owing to this state of affairs, the private clinics levy high charges on patients. The poor people can barely afford such expensive medical treatment but have no other option.
The local government department is requested to allocate funds for the construction of a civil health dispensary in the village.
