Hard work needed: Inzamam

Published September 13, 2005

LAHORE, Sept 12: Inzamamul Haq, the Pakistan captain, said on Monday that his side needed to work extremely hard to beat a resurgent England side in the forthcoming home series.

“England are in top form against Australia and the way they have played it shows that they are at their best and beating the best team always require extra efforts and hard work,” he said in an interview.

“But one thing is sure that we will be at our best to give our opponents tough fight to attain desired results,” said the home captain.

“We have started our preparations well ahead of time, keeping in view the strength of the English side.

“Obviously our objective is to win the series and we have to go all out to achieve the challenging task,” he asserted. —APP
