The Sindh government has decided to test all overseas passengers landing at Jinnah International Airport for the coronavirus and quarantine them as per standard operating procedure.

In a tweet, Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab said that 246 passengers from Saudi Arabia had landed at Jinnah terminal, out of which 123 were diagnosed with Covid-19.

"We are already facing a spike in cases and fatalities have increased from one per cent to 1.7pc. There will be no compromise on the tests,” said Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Shah.
