Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar chaired a meeting of the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) during which the implementation of SOPs, safety and quarantine guidelines to avoid spread of the coronavirus were discussed.
According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), Umar said the heart of the strategy to contain the risk of the contagion spreading was to ensure "SOPs compliance and enforcement of quarantine measures".
The provincial chief secretaries, including GB & AJK, informed the NCOC that strict administrative action has been initiated against those violating SOPs and social distancing in public places, markets, public transport and industrial sectors, the PMO said.
