LAHORE: A jobless young man allegedly committed suicide by throwing himself from Metro Bus Station bridge near Azadi Chowk on Sunday night.

The deceased was Imran Ali (25), a resident of Khanewal, according to the national identity card found in his pockets.

Quoting witnesses, a police official said Imran went to the bridge, took a jump to fall on the road below.

He suffered serious head injuries and was shifted to the Mayo Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.

The police official further said that it was the second attempt of Imran to end his life as some hours earlier, he had visited the same place to commit suicide but the employees of the Metro Bus Station stopped him.

Imran told them he was jobless and was facing a hard days of his life.

Police are trying to contact his family in Khanewal.
