Pakistan's death toll has risen to 1,346 after 63 fatalities were confirmed in the last 24 hours in Punjab, Sindh and Islamabad collectively — the highest single-day death toll so far.

Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have not reported their daily fatalities from the virus yet. Both Punjab and Sindh reported their highest single-day death tolls at 29 and 31, respectively.

The previous record for most deaths in a day was reported on May 21 when 57 fatalities were confirmed and before that on May 7 when 48 fatalities were recorded.
