KARACHI: Foreign exchange reserves of the State Bank of Pakistan decreased by $55 million to $12.073 billion during the week ended on May 21.
The decrease was attributed to external debt repayments.
The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $18.597bn while holdings of the commercial banks improved by $35m to $6.524bn by the end of the same week.
