Sindh's coronavirus cases have topped 25,000 after a record 1,103 cases were reported during the last 24 hours, according to Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

Shah said that 4,101 tests were conducted, of which 1,103 came back positive, taking the province's total to 25,309.

He said that 16 more people died from the virus, taking the total fatalities to 396. He added that 227 patients are in critical condition while 39 are on ventilators.

The chief minister said that 1,924 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours and were sent back to their homes.
