KARACHI, Sept 8: The National basketball championship will be held at Attock from Sept 18 to 25, a spokesman of Pakistan Basketball Federation said on Thursday. Besides defending champion Army, Habib Bank, Wapda, Railways, Police, Higher Education Commission, Pakistan Ordinance Factory, Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC), Punjab, Sindh, NWFP and Balochistan would be taking part in the week-long competition.

In the meantime, KESC Sports Department named their 15-member squad for the championship which included two officials.

KESC squad: Javed Khan, Gulfraz Khan, Khurram Javed, Hamad Khan, Rashid Mustufa, Rizwan Shah, Waseemuddin, Azeemuddin, Muhammad Ijaz, Talha Amjad, Meraj, Niaz and Haider Ali.

Nurul Abideen and Javed Akhtar will be the officials of the team.—APP
