MULTAN: Provincial minister for energy Dr Akhtar Malik quarantined himself at his residence after he was tested positive for coronavirus.

According to family sources, Dr Malik got had his test conducted and was tested positive.

While requesting for prayers for early recovery of the minister, his family said Dr Malik had isolated himself in his house and was in good condition. Dr Malik visited Nishtar Hospital and quarantine centre established in the city where pilgrims from Iran were accommodated.

A couple of days earlier, Dr Malik along other parliamentarians met Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.

Dr Attaur Rehman of the health department said that sampling of 15 primary (close) contacts of Dr Malik had been conducted.
