JUI candidates in Lakki Marwat

LAKKI MARWAT, Sept 7: The district chapter of JUI-F, a part of the locally formed Muttahida Group, has named its candidates for different posts in tehsils and districts. The names of these candidates were finalised in a meeting held here on Tuesday.

District amir Maulana Abdul Rahim chaired the meeting which was attended by, besides others, provincial naib amir Maulana Haji Amir Nawaz Khan Advocate, district naib amir Maulana Ahmad Shah Qureshi, district information secretary Maulana Abdul Vakeel, Maulana Abdul Wahid, Maulana Eazazullah, Mufti Haroon and Maulana Bashir Ahmad.

The participants unanimously approved the name of Maulana Asghar Ali, son of MNA Maulana Amanullah Khan, for the slot of district naib nazim as none other had shown interest in contesting election for this post.

Two local leaders, including Hafiz Asif Saleem Advocate son of provincial naib amir of JUI-F Maulana Haji Amir Nawaz Khan Advocate and Abdul Wahid Begukhel had submitted applications for the seat of tehsil nazim Lakki. The participants, through secret ballot, gave opinion in favour of Hafiz Asif Saleem Advocate.

Similarly, two stalwarts, Mufti Haroon and Maulana Bashir Ahmad, were in the run for the slot of Tehsil Nazim Naurang. The meeting, through majority of vote, endorsed the name of Maulana Bashir Ahmad.
