Friendship Rally

LAHORE, Sept 6: A caravan of 12 old classic cars participating in the London to Sydney Friendship rally arrived here from Multan on Tuesday. Besides, the 12 cars, three backup cars having technical staff to provide assistance to the participants, also arrived.

There are two competitors in each car. All the participants are 60 years of age or above.

The cars will remain in a local hotel till their departure on Sept 9 at 7am. People are allowed to see the classic cars. The rally will enter China through Islamabad and Northern Areas. The rally left London on Aug 14 and will finish their journey in Sydney, Australia, on Nov 16 after completing 27,000 kilometres.

The rally entered Pakistan from Iran after passing through Europe and Turkey. — Sports Correspondent
