The Balochistan government will only test suspected Covid-19 patients who show symptoms of the virus owing to a lack of testing capacity.

According to a statement from the department, suspected coronavirus patients will "only be tested after they have completed a quarantine period of 14 days at their homes".

The health department has also shut down the Fatima Jinnah Laboratory, the only lab in the province which was conducting tests for the virus.
