Balochistan Government Spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani has said that a reshuffle within staff caused the delay in test results. He said that the staff has been working tirelessly.

Addressing the media in Quetta, Shahwani said: "We asked federal government to provide us with 50,000 PCR kits, they gave us some 14,000 kits a few weeks ago and they gave us more yesterday."

"We have two polymerase chain reaction (PCR) machines for testing thus far, they were disinfected two days ago. The labs and machines are increasing. We have ordered for more PCR machines to be installed at Sheikh Zayed Hospital," he added.
