KARACHI: Sewage overflowing in FB Area

Published September 6, 2005

KARACHI, Sept 5: Filthy water gushing out from some chocked gutters has spread on some streets of Federal B’ Area’s Block 2 (Hussainabad), causing an stinking environment in the locality. Residents of the affected locality said sewage had been coming out from a number chocked gutters, specially those situated in front of House No 74/2, Hussainabad, for the last fortnight, the KWSB officials concerned have not yet bothered to clear the chocked gutters although a number of complaints had been lodged with them.

They complained that stagnant filthy water has, on the one hand, polluted the atmosphere, and on the other, presenting an ugly sight to passers-by, besides, the pedestrians are the worst sufferers as they could be seen wading through the dirty water.
