KARACHI: President of PTI Karachi chapter and member Sindh Assembly Khurram Sher Zaman has said that the ‘immature’ chairman of the PPP ‘lied’ on Friday when the PPP leader accused the federal government of not helping the Sindh government.

Mr Zaman added that the Sindh cabinet was itself responsible for all failures in Sindh.

“Bilawal should ask his health minister what is the situation in Sindh. Vaccines for dog bites are not available in Sindh. The poor condition of Sindh is telling the story of PPP’s 12-year rule,” he said while addressing a press conference in Insaf House Karachi.

Mr Zaman further added that the federal government was playing the role of father for the Sindh government as billions of rupees were received in the form of National Finance Commission (NFC) award.

“Where that money has gone? The Sindh government is not taking practical steps. If the federal government did not help, then Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, you are a billionaire. Why don’t you serve the people with your own money?” he asked.

“Mr Bilawal is a son of a great and martyred woman, we are sorry that he lies under pressure of his cabinet only for politics. The Sindh government did not distribute rations in the province, but squandered its money,” he claimed.

“Politics of fear is being carried out in Sindh at the moment, all deaths in Sindh are being counted in coronavirus death toll.”

He further said that the attitude of Mr Bhutto-Zardari and PPP towards Karachi was unacceptable, the chief minister of Sindh had destroyed the economy of Karachi.

“Poor and white-collar people are unemployed and suffering from economic hardships due to lockdown in the city. The CM Sindh has failed to implement lockdown in Karachi. Media is witness of all [this]. What did Sindh government do for Sindh?

Mr Sher Zaman further said that Bilawal should hold his “useless and incompetent” ministers and advisers to account and find out the truth himself.
