LAHORE, Sept 4: Three Lahore-bound passenger trains had a narrow escape near Shahdara railway station on Sunday.

Officials said the signal system at the Shahdara junction developed some fault and stopped functioning at around 11am when the Railcar (104-up) was entering the junction.

The Shahdara station master warned the crew at the cabins and the level crossings before the junction who waved red flags and managed to stop both the Narowal passenger train and the Faisal Express, some 150 metres away from the last bogie of the railcar.
