Eight family members of Sindh Assembly lawmaker Abdul Rasheed have tested positive for the coronavirus in Karachi.

Speaking to Dawn, Rasheed — who had also tested positive on April 24 — said that eight family members, including his wife, mother, sister and children, have tested positive for the coronavirus.

He stated that they were all doing well and were self-isolating at home. "Apart from my mother, none of the others have showed any symptoms," he said.

Rasheed was elected MPA from PS-108, which comprises areas of Lyari Town, in the 2018 general elections.
