PPP MPA Rana Hamir Singh has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, Tharparkar Deputy Commissioner Dr Shahzad Tahir said.

Singh, who was elected to the Sindh Assembly on a reserved seat in the 2018 elections, had joined Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal MPA Abdul Rasheed at the inauguration of a ventilator room in Mithi a few days ago.

The samples of Singh and 25 others from Thar were collected for testing after Rasheed tested positive for the virus last week. However, only Singh's result came out positive.
