CHITRAL, Sept 3: The Vice-Chancellor of Malakand University, Dr Jahandar Shah, has called upon teachers and college administrators to impart quality education to women in underdeveloped areas like Chitral.

The vice-chancellor issued the call on Saturday during a meeting with the management staff of different privately managed colleges here.

At the same time Dr Shah praised private colleges for the way they promoted science education of the desired quality. However, he said that there was “room for improvement in quality” and called upon the college managements to do their best to impart education along modern lines.

He asked them to make up for the shortcomings, as pointed out by the inspection team

of the university, within the shortest possible time so that their affiliation process with

the university could be completed.
