Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in a telephone call to Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi sought support for the prime minister's Global Debt Relief Initiative.
According to a statement released by the Foreign Office, Yi assured that China would support the initiative at the G20 summit and other international forums.
The Chinese minister also underscored the importance of "coordinated and equitable" efforts to deal with the coronavirus pandemic, adding that it "posed great danger to global economy".
