Punjab has reported 89 more cases of the novel coronavirus, taking the provincial tally to 2,945.

Of these, 701 patients are quarantined at facilities in Dera Ghazi Khan and Multan, 1,055 are members of the Tableeghi Jamaat, 89 are inmates and another 1,100 are in self-isolation, said the chief minister Usman Buzdar.

The CM also confirmed the deaths of more people in the province. The death toll in Punjab now stands at 28.

The province has conducted 43,565 tests of suspected patients so far.
