STARTING a tele-school for children by the Federal Directorate of Education is a good initiative to fill the vacuum created by the closure of educational institutions owing to the pandemic outbreak.

The FDE is preparing educational content for the federal schooling system which would be broadcast for three months between 8am and 6pm. In my opinion, this session should not be restricted to this period.

It would be better if educational content is telecast regularly as this will help those parents who cannot afford the expense of admitting their children in schools.

Furthermore the FDE should also help the provincial governments prepare educational content according to their respective boards so that education in these trying times can continue in the country.
