ISLAMABAD, Aug 31: The Senate Standing Committee on Sports will discuss cricket in a meeting being held at the Parliament House on Thursday. The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Shaharyar M. Khan will appear before the committee to explain particularly the reasons for Karachi not being allotted an England Test during their forthcoming tour.

Other matters including the PCB constitution and the board’s failure to have Inzamamul Haq on the World XI side, may also be discussed.

Shaharyar missed the last meeting on Aug 22 officially because of his daughter-in-law’s illness but led a PCB delegation that met President Gen. Pervez Musharraf, only the following day.
