Wrestling contest from 16th

LAHORE, Aug 31: The 52nd National wrestling championship will be held at the Railways Stadium from Sept 16 to 18. Pakistan Wrestling Federation (PWF) secretary Chaudhary Muhammad Arif said that the event would be organized by the Pakistan Customs, Sales Tax and Central Excise Sports Board with the collaboration of the federation.

Junaid Akram has been appointed as chairman of the organizing committee with Riaz Mahmood Rana as the organizing secretary. Prominent wrestlers from Army, Railways, Wapda, Police, Higher Education Commission and four provinces would take part in the seven weight categories. The units will send the weight-wise entries of the wrestlers latest by Sept 8.

The weighing-in will take place on Sept 15 at the Railway Stadium. The weight categories are up to 55kg, 60, 66, 74, 84, 96 and above 96.
