Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has said he wants to extend the lockdown by one week to April 21.
Talking to reporters, the chief minister cautioned against ending the lockdown too soon, adding that any "leniency" would result in an increased number of cases.
Shah said that another week of lockdown could lead to a "significant" decrease in the number of cases, adding that he was discussing the matter with his cabinet.
