A recent CNN report has called Taiwan's response to the Covid-19 pandemic among the best in the world. Here are some of the measures that Taiwan took early on before the coronavirus was even declared a pandemic:
- Rapidly producing and implementing a 124-items action list which included banning travel from several parts of China
- Stopping cruise ships from docking in its ports
- Introducing strict punishments for violating the home quarantine order
- Ramping up production of face masks
- Introducing testing across the island
Taiwan has less than 400 cases of the virus.
