Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that restricting Friday prayer congregations was a "painful decision" while adding that "governments have to make difficult and painful decisions for the greater good of the public".
"These days, social distancing is vital," he said.
He expressed hope that people would stay indoors and cooperate with the government. The Sindh government has imposed a complete lockdown from 12-3pm.
