The Sindh government has issued Standard Operating Procedures for private schools in the province as it struggles to control the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
The SOPs dictate that:
Schools provide concession in tuition fees to grant relief to parents who have been financially affected by the ongoing lockdown.
Schools remain closed, except for the administration office that would collect student fee and distribute salaries among staff.
Schools observe preventive measures, place hand sanitisers at entry and exit points and make it compulsory for all to wear masks.
Social distancing must be practised and a minimum number of people should gather in an office.
Only up to three people should be allowed in the admin office at one time. Public gatherings are strictly banned.
Schools would not ask students to come to collect their challans or deposit fee.
