Sindh chief minister's spokesperson Rashid Channa has said that the provincial government has not put any additional measures in place for Fridays in response to media reports that the government would enforce a "curfew-like" lockdown on Friday from 12-3pm .
However, restrictions on congregational prayers will remain, he said, adding that only four or five people including the prayer-leader and caretakers of the mosque would be allowed to pray inside with a suitable distance between them.
“Ulema have already agreed on not holding Friday prayers in view of medical advice to prevent spread of the coronavirus,” the spokesperson added.
