KARACHI, Aug 30: The Board of Secondary Education, Karachi has invited applications for ‘poverty-cum-merit scholarships’ for the year 2005-06.

A BSEK announcement on Tuesday said that the application forms for deserving students of SSC part II are available with the research section of the BSEK. It said that duly filled forms, verified by the concerned head of the institution along with relevant documents be submitted latest by Sept 30.

The eligibility for the scholarship is that the students must have obtained at least 45 per cent marks in the SSC part I exams-2005 and the father/guardian’s income should be less than Rs50,000 per annum.

An income certificate duly signed and endorsed by the head of the institution in which the students is studying will have to be submitted along with the application form and attested copy of SSC part I marks sheet.—APP
