LAHORE, Aug 29: Pakistan will host the Asian Junior volleyball championship in September 2007, Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) secretary Major Afzal Khan said on Monday. The secretary said that the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) had allotted the event after Pakistan’s bid met all conditions.

He said that the PVF had started planning to organize the event in a befitting manner.

The secretary, who left on Monday for China to attend AVC meetings from Aug 30 to Sept 1, said that the Asian body had also provided an Iranian coach Khusro Ibraheem to conduct a “Teacher’s Course” to be organized in Islamabad from Sept 10 to 15 with the collaboration of the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
