TV channels

Published March 28, 2020

AS a habit one switches through channels while watching TV, especially in these days of lockdown where there is nothing much else to do.

I can’t help but notice and tell our readers that all the international news channels are airing interesting, historic, knowledgeable and educational programmes for viewers apart from news. However, when we look at Pakistani news channels, a sizable portion of the air time goes into broadcasting advertisements.

Being from a business background I do understand the necessity for advertisement for commercial purposes, but there should be a limit on advertising time.

What are we teaching and showing to our people other than ads. There should be some restrictions and regulations on how much ad time can be aired.
