Fleeing corona suspect caught, quarantined in Punjab

SARGODHA: A suspect of coronavirus who reportedly escaped from a quarantine in Lahore was overpowered by a team of police and health department at the river Jhelum bridge near Khushab.

The team acted after receiving an alert from higher authorities in Lahore. The patient was shifted to an isolation ward set up at the Civil Hospital, Jauharabad (Khushab district) in an ambulance.

He was traveling by a public transport bus and was traced through online booking.

SHEIKHUPURA: A couple having symptoms of coronavirus attack was admitted to the DHQ Hospital, Nankana Sahib, on Monday.

Returning from Saudi Arabia, they had fever and cough. The DHQ MS said their blood samples had been sent to Lahore for laboratory analysis.
