Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Security Dr Moeed Yusuf said that the government is in contact with airlines and other countries' official to find a quick solution to the international flight suspensions that had been introduced.
"In the next few hours, this will become clear," he said, adding: "We are constantly working on this and are in touch with all officials."
He urged passengers not to begin their journeys and asked them to stay where they were.
