PIA Cairo crash

Published March 21, 2020

APROPOS the letter ‘PIA Cairo crash (March16). After reading the letter, I went down the memory lane to recall my school days.

I was in class four of Saint Agnes School at the time. This educational institution is now called Army Public School COD Karachi.

I remember the daughter of the pilot of the ill-fated flight was my class mate. I recall that on that fateful day she left the class in an emergency when her family came to collect her. It was the next day that we learnt about the sad news of the PIA Cairo crash. Now 55 years later, I still remember the day like yesterday.

May Allah Almighty rest all the departed soul in eternal peace.
