The polio campaign in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province — scheduled to take place from March 16 to March 20 —has been called off due to the coronavirus situation in the area.
A day prior, Pakistan had reported its first two deaths from the virus both of whom were from KP.
According to the provincial health department, 1.3 million children were supposed to be immunised during the drive scheduled to take place in five districts, including Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi and Mohmand.
