KARACHI, Aug 27: A photo-exhibition was held here at the Polish Consulate in Karachi on Saturday to mark Poland’s solidarity movement’s twenty-fifth anniversary celebrations, said a press release.

The consul-general of Poland, Ireneusz Makles, inaugurated the exhibition. The celebrations will be held all over Poland, besides programmes will held in Polish embassies and consulates in a number of foreign countries including Pakistan.

An international conference, “From solidarity to freedom” will open at Gdansk and Warsaw on Monday. Some 30 prime ministers, heads of states and other guests from abroad including EU Commission chief Jose Manuel Barroso will also attend the conference.
