Speaking to the media, KP Finance Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra asked for the people's help in combating the virus. "The epidemic is not deadly. More than 90 per cent of the people can recover from the disease, but the world is too connected due to which the virus is spreading too fast."

We need to spread awareness about precautionary measures, he said, adding that if an individual suspects they have coronavirus, they can call the provincial helpline 1700 for further guidance.

"We need to face this [situation] together, and spread awareness," he said.
