Samiullah inspires GBSS

KARACHI, Aug 26: Brilliant batting by Samiullah helped GBSS Nazimabad No 1 outclass Islamia Secondary School (ISS) in the opening match of NBP-KCCA Inter-school cricket tournament on Thursday at National Stadium.

As many as 38 schools of the city are taking part in the tournament which is being organised by Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA).

Chasing a target of 190, the winners achieved it losing five wickets due to Samiullah who blasted seven boundaries in his 75. He got good support by Umer Arshad (35 not out).

Earlier GBSS restricted their opponents to 189 in 44 overs. Irfan Siraj (57) was the top scorer for the losers.—PPI
