KARACHI: Mr M.A. Khuhro, a Council Muslim League leader, yesterday accused PPP Chairman Z.A. Bhutto “of loose talk, of taking finances from industrialists, of having obstructed Larkana’s development, of maligning Cabinet Ministers and political rivals and of undignified behaviour with the Press”.

In his statement, Mr Khuhro said: “Mr Z.A. Bhutto, I am afraid, is losing his mental equilibrium very fast. He has, since 1st January this year, when restrictions on public speaking were removed by the President, been making highly irresponsible statements regarding the foreign policy of this Government. It is a deliberate attempt at creating serious misunderstanding between our country and our friendly neighbouring countries like China and USSR. By such utterances our friends can be suspicious of our attitude and our enemies will get encouraged and, this may land us in some serious trouble.

“His public exposure of what happened during the clashes between Indian and Pakistan armies in Rann-of-Katch and later in September 1965 — the short war between India and Pakistan — regarding our army strength etc is likely to do harm to our interests. These things he could have known only as Foreign Minister in Ayub’s Government. In his case oath of office and Official Secrets Act seem to have no meaning.”
