MANSEHRA: Windstorm followed by a heavy rain has damaged a suspension bridge on the Indus River here in Judbah area, the district headquarters of Torghar. The bridge links Hazara division with Malakand division.

Rabnawaz, a resident, said that the government had approved tendering for the bridge six months ago, but work hadn’t begun yet. He said that the windstorm had destroyed the bridge’s steel planks and iron boundary.

The residents demanded immediate reconstruction of the bridge to restore traffic.
