KARACHI, Aug 25: Five ships carrying general cargo, containers and to load 500 tons of fish are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where 10 vessels were berthed. They are PONL Buenos Aries, Hyundai Advance, Kota Teguh, Global Princess, Kota Wajar and Global Prosperity, to unload and load containers, Shalamar and Al-Marwah to offload oil, Ince Pacific, and Pacific Express to unload general cargo.

Four vessels, Ever Guide, APL Dalian, PONL Buenos Aries and Sea Ranger departed on Thursday, while Pacific Express, Global Princess, Global Prosperity, Kota Wajar and Argonaut are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was also maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.112m tons comprising 20,487 tons of export cargo and 91,579 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Ryoma, to load 500 tons of fish, Harmony, Wan Hai-265, with containers, Arihant and Khairpur, with general cargo.
