LAHORE: Stakeholders in pesticide trade met here on Thursday to discuss the impediments blocking provision of quality and affordable products to the farming community,
Chaired by Agriculture Minister Malik Nauman Langrial, the Punjab Pesticides Conference 2020 discussed ways to improve efficiency of pesticides, introduction of climate smart technology and bio-pesticides as well as regulatory issues and ongoing litigation with private sector companies, Agriculture (Extension) Director-General Dr Anjum Buttar told Dawn.
He says the recommendations and suggestions framed during the deliberations would be taken to various committees set up by the federal government as well as provincial bodies for resolving the issues at the earliest.
The minister said all stakeholders were under one roof at the moot providing an opportunity collectively to resolve the problems regarding maintaining quality of pesticides, regulatory affairs and other issues.
