KARACHI: The hope that soon a workable understanding will be arrived at between Sir Ghulam Hussain Hidayatullah and Mr. G.M. Syed and the differences between them regarding the Ministry adjusted is expressed today [Feb 22] by Nawab Mohammad Ismail, Chaudhury Khalikuzzaman and Qazi Isa, members of the Muslim League Action Committee. They had been adopted by the League High Command to see things for themselves and settle the dispute.

They state:- “We have been trying to impress upon the Muslim League leaders as well as the rank and file, whom we have also met, to pay heed to the call of the Quaid-e-Azam to maintain themselves at this critical juncture. We have also met the Working Committee. They have accepted our suggestions and we believe that if they are acted upon the matters in dispute will naturally disappear and cause no further trouble.

“We were also present yesterday at the meeting of the Muslim League Assembly Party. We took part in the discussion and we are happy to say that there was a desire in it for a settlement of the dispute that exists with regard to the Ministry. The party was unanimously of the view that Sir Ghulam Hussain Hidayatullah and Mr. G.M. Syed should have a heart to heart talk with each other and try to reach a settlement.”
