Kidnapped boy recovered

PESHAWAR, Aug 23: The city police have recovered an 18-year-old boy who was kidnapped one month ago from Palosi area in the outskirts of the city, said an official statement issued here on Tuesday.

The city police on prior information about shifting of kidnapped boy Shahid, son of Haji Gul Akbar, to some other location, raided the culprits’ hideout and arrested Afzal, a resident of Regi, and Kifayat alias Papu, a resident of Atozai village near Palosi area. Shahid was kidnapped for ransom near his residence by two kidnappers. They kept Shahid at different locations. They had a plan to shift the boy to another place, but the police on Monday night raided the house and recovered the boy.

The police also recovered weapons and handcuffs from the place. The official statement did not give the location from where the boy was recovered.—Bureau
