DERA MURAD JAMALI: Twelve members of a wedding party, including women and children, were killed and 30 others suffered injuries in a road accident in the Bareja area of Jhal Magsi district on Friday.

A mini truck carrying the wedding party going from Khuzdar to Larkana overturned and plunged into ditch.

Officials of the district administration, Levies force personnel and rescue workers took the bodies and the injured to the district hospital in Jhal Magsi.

Hospital sources said that six bodies of the members of a single family were brought to the hospital and six others died in Larkana and Shahdadkot hospitals where they were shifted due to their critical injuries.

“At least 30 people were injured,” Levies officials said, adding the tragic incident took place due to over-speeding.

Meanwhile, in another incident two people, including a woman, were killed when their car overturned due to over-speeding in the Sanjavi area of Duki district.
