Man kills uncle on election dispute

GUJRANWALA, Aug 22: A man killed his uncle over an election row in Kamoki on Monday. Reports said Ajmal was on his way home from the fields. Near the house, his nephew Muhammad Asif opened fire on him, killing him on the spot.

Ajmal was supporting the rival group of accused in local government elections. Police removed the body to Kamoki civil hospital for autopsy. A murder case was registered against the accused and his accomplices without any arrest.

DISMISSED: Three sanitary workers of city tehsil council were dismissed from service over negligence here on Monday.

Reports said the workers were not performing their duties and the people had complained of the deteriorating condition of cleanliness.
