THATTA: Fisherman, boy drown

THATTA, Aug 22: A fisherman drowned while four of his companions succeeded to reach the shore safely when their boat capsized in the Arabian Sea in the early hours on Sunday.

On reaching the shore at Jati, the fishermen told reporters that they hold a floating plank when their boat overturned and after hours of effort, they triumphed to reach the coast.

In an another incident, an eight years old boy drowned in the Pinyari canal here on Monday.

Shoaib Malah, a resident of Karachi, had come to the Shah Nawaz Leghari village with his grand father to condole on the death of their relative.
